This watch was purchased in 1999, lightly and carefully worn and extremely well preserved.....

While this watch looks like its solid gold, in fact it is 'Vermeil' - Cartier's proprietary process of Gold Plating over Sterling Silver aka 'Plaque D'Or.'   

After almost 25 years, the Gold Plating is still mostly in tact with only a few areas of spotting around 4:00 and 7:00 where the gold plate has worn through and shows slight discoloration from the sterling silver.  Our detailed photos magnify this effect and make it look much worse than it looks in person.  

As a 25-year veteran of the luxury watch space, trust me when i tell you this watch has to be one of the most well-preserved and most complete examples of a Cartier from the 1990's i've ever seen. 

Astoundingly, after almost 25-years, This watch is still 100% complete with everything as purchased new including:

• Original Cartier Red Signature Leather boxset with outer cardboard box and Serialized sticker on outside of box 
• original Cartier Warranty Certificate, Cartier Warranty Booklet, Cartier le Must Instruction Booklet and Service Booklet
