This is a discontinued Panerai model no longer in Panerai catalog and made for only 3 production years for G H and I series (2004-2006 production years). 'Daylight' is a reference to Panerai brand ambassador Sylvester Stallone and the 1996 blockbuster disaster movie 'Daylight' in which Sly wore a Panerai to avoid catastrophe in an underground tunnel rapidly filling up with water. (Daylight was the first known appearance of a Panerai watch in a blockbuster movie. Panerai didn't even pay for the product placement--it was Stallone who discovered the brand and selected the Panerai Daylight watch for the movie where its luminescence played a key role in avoiding certain disaster!)
Thsi is a Pre-Owned watch; Purchased new in December 2004 per the included Panerai Warranty Card - This watch is lightly and carefully worn with only slightest visible signs of occassional and careful wear. No scratches on Sapphire Crystal, no significant scratches or dings on tachymetric bezel or solid caseback. Comes fitted on original Panerai midnight blue alligator strap with original Panerai stainless steel tang buckle. Also comes with additional Panerai Gold semi matte alligator strap and strap changing tool.

- As a 'G' series, This watch represents Inaugural release of Daylight chronograph model. The PAM188 was Made in very limited production for only 3 Production Years (G H and I series from 2004-2006) - This one is G series #236 of only 500 pieces produced for 2004 series
- PAM188 is ONLY Daylight Chronograph model produced with unmistakable WHITE Dial - subsequent versions featured an Ivory dial, but never again WHITE
- Only the PAM188 and its sister model, PAM196 featured 2-tone look of brushed stainless steel case and shiny high polish tachymetric bezel - subsequent models (PAM251 (ivory Dial) and PAM250/PAM236 (black dial) feature all satin-finished (matte) bezel and case
