Breitling is a company founded on a passion for chronographs.  Since its founding in 1884, Breitling has done more to push the chronograph forward than almost anyone else in watches.  They invented the independent reset button, allowing for timekeeping to be stopped and restarted without resetting to zero.  In 1953 they launched the Navitimer, a watch that exemplifies Breitling's focus on precision and function.  This was the first watch ever to integrate a slide rule, allowing for complex aeronautical calculations to be done on the wrist in-flight! Their quest for function did not stop in the air, as they released the SuperOcean in 1957.  It came with a 200m water resistance and became one of the deepest diving models at the time.
