This is an Indistinguishable From New Rolex Datejust II in stainless steel with a rhodium dial with light blue/lilac arabic markers. This was one of the original dials that launched with the Datejust II, and is unique because it was not carried over into the Datejust 41mm collection. It features an 18kt white gold fluted bezel and has the original Oyster bracelet. This is a V-series watch, produced in 2009. This was the last year that the piece could be traced to a production period by serial number. This watch was purchased brand new by our client at an authorized Rolex retailer and appears to have rarely worn since. This Datejust II includes its original box, instruction manual, and document wallet!
The Rolex Datejust is probably one of the reference standards for a watch (the other most likely being a Rolex Submariner). This family is timeless, elegant, and was Rolex's most innovative watch when it launched in 1945 (the 40th anniversary of Rolex). Just like most watch related ideas brought to market by Rolex, the date wheel (as opposed to a hand pointing at a date on the dial) has become ubitquitous and almost taken for granted. In 2009, the reference 116334 was released and it lead to the modernization of the Datejust line. It introduced a larger, 41mm case, which better suited the preferences of the modern audience. The Datejust II was produced until 2016, when it was re-christened the Datejust 41mm.
