This is an original 1-owner watch purchased new in the year 2000. In original, lightly and carefully worn, and never polished condition. This watch is Well preserved and meticulously maintained over the years. This Aquanaut Jumbo is a Time Capsule Complete Specimen, complete with everything as purchased brand new direct from Patek Philippe as when it was originally purchased in February 2000 (per the included Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin).
What's really cool and ultra rare about this example.....the original owner never sized or wore the accompanying tropical rubber sport strap with folding deployment buckle - here it is pictured in its original packaging, never cut or reduced from its original length and never put on the watch, 100% in tact- still soft and supple and ready to be fitted to this watch if you prefer to ear it on rubber strap over metal bracelet.
The Original stainless steel Aquanaut bracelet is fitted to the watch. Bracelet is full length complete with all links as purchased new and will fit up to 7 3/4 inch wrist size.
This Time Capsule Example is 100% complete with everything even the most demanding and detail oriented collector would look for, including: original patek Philippe Black Cube (leather lined) double boxset, original Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, original Patek Aquanaut Instruction Booklet, original hand-written Patek hang tag, and a handful of other Patek Philippe Booklets and Archival Registration Form. And of course the package includes the unworn and never cut Tropical Rubber sport strap with folding butterfly-style deployant buckle in its original packaging. (Please note the interior of the original Patek Black Cubed Box is aging very badly. The leather lining on the inside of the box has aged poorly and is cracking causing little annoying white leather pieces to get everywhere on the watch and bracelet and strap and whenever you open the box these little pieces get everywhere causing an annoying mess to deal with. Unfortunately this is a normal occurrence for Patek leather lined boxsets from the early 2000's and there is nothing that can be done about it other than keeping it away from the watch!
