Minute Repeater is The APEX of Complications and this watch embodies that x10. While this is not JLC's first minute repeater watch,
Special Edition of only 75 Pieces, Released to celebrate the 80 Year Anniversary of the JLC Reverso as a Brand Novelty at Basil Fare 2012
The Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau is the only timepiece whose minute repeater function is activated by opening the curtain. A truly technical innovation, the metallic curtain is reminiscent of the original function of the reversible case, that of protecting the watch from impacts.
The sound produced by the Reverso Répétition Minutes à Rideau is the result of long research carried out in the Manufacture’s laboratories. Fitted with a silent regulator, this exceptional timepiece includes trebuchet hammers as well as monobloc gongs made from a secret-formula alloy. Check out our YOUTube video to hear the melodic sounds of this watches' minute repeater function.

This timepiece is an excellent example of both uniqueness and complication. This piece begins as the iconic Reverso which was introduced in 1931 and designed to protect the watch during polo matches by flipping the dial side of the watch over without taking it off the wrist. Later, it was adapted to add different complications to the flip side. The case measures a hefty 55mm x 35mm and is crafted in 18k white gold. This watch features a truly unique sliding "curtain" (rideau means curtain in French) which reveals the dial and activates the minute repeater complication. The minute repeater is considered the top of the mountain in terms of complication, and innovative ways of activating the complication are few and far between (most use a sliding switch or a button).
This is one of the 75 examples made for the world and is unworn and factory sealed condition. This piece was purchased brand new directly from an authorized retailer when it was initially released and never worn! This amazing watch has spent its entire life in a literal fortress, only to be removed from its vault for admiration! This watch is also a full Time CAPSULE: complete with all of its original contents like the boxset, documentation, and hangtag.
This is a rare chance to own one of the very few examples of a truly unique minute repeater, in Brand New and Never Worn condition.
