Full Transparency:  Unfortunately this watch comes to us with only a Hublot travel/carry case and no Hublot boxset or papers - while this can be unsettling, the Foudroyante movement is an ultra rare, highly complicated and very expensive movement and has yet to be successfully faked due to its complicated nature.

There are copies of this watch out there but none of them have a properly working 1/8th seconds or split seconds chronograph movement.  I am 100% confident beyond any shadow of a doubt that this watch is 100% authentic based on the operation of the highly complicated Foudroyante movement.

Pre-Owned in lightly and carefully worn condition with only the very slightest visible signs of occassional and careful wear.  All pictures are of actual watch so please review our high resolution photos for exact condition.

Ultra complicated Foudroyante Movement = 1/8th seconds chronograph and split seconds chronograph aka Rattrapante

Foudroyante means lighting and in this case, it means the chronograph seconds hand located in the 9:00 subdial spins with dizzying speed at 1 revolution for each second.  The references to Lighting/Foudroyante is because each 1/8th seconds rotation has the seconds hand literally jumping (not spinning) 1/8th of a second which is the speed of lightning - the jumping of this hand is truly mesmerizing and like nothing you've ever seen on a watch!

The Split Seconds chronograph allows you to time up to 2 events occuring simultaneously with different end times using the push button on the tip of the winding crown at 3:00.  Pushing this button while the chronograph is in operation causes the 2-piece (chronograph) seconds hand to separate; 1 hand freezes instantaneously while the other seconds hand continues until the button at 4:00 is pushed at which point all the chronograph hands are frozen and you can compare differentials between the 2 events ie 'split timing' useful in horse or car racing (and cooking 2 different kinds of pastas ;-)!
