The 6240 is arguably one of the most important references in Rolex's history. This is the watch that set the stage for the Oyster Cosmograph Daytona as we know it today – with screw down pushers and a black bezel. It was the very first "Oyster" Daytona, but the only reference allowed with a non-Oyster stamped dial. The 6240 is a hand-wound Daytona.
This partiuclar example features the original Mk0 screw-down 'mille ligne' pushers in brass and Mk1 Bezel with a dial with small 'DAYTONA' notation. Notice the dial is absent the 'Oyster' stamp which makes this a pretty rare example.
