At its release, this watch had a retail list price of around $56,000. It is now avaialble in lightly and carefully worn condition for a fraction of its original retail list price.
Most people would describe the crisp sound the Memovox Alarm makes as being closest to an original mechanical alarm clock or "old school" Ma Bell telephone. Set the alarm to go off in your next business meeting, dinner party or wherever and watch people get very confused when they think there is a telephone that needs answering or an alarm clock going off in the room.
This watch comes with original JLC Master Compressor Oversized double box set and even has a personalized 'Master Compressor' metal plate on the inner box. Sadly the original owner of this watch misplaced the Warranty Certificate, Manuals and booklets so we are unable to confirm exact date of purchase on this watch. That being said, the Master Compressor Memovox model was released in 2004 -- our customer told us he bought this watch around 2010.
We can confirm this watch has been extremely well preserved for its age and shows only slightest visible signs of careful and occassional wear. there are no significant dings or scratches on the bezel or case aside from some micro surface scratches (barely visible with naked eye) from normal wear over the years.
Rest assured, our team of professional watchmakers have carefully inspected this watch and confirmed that it is keeping 'spot-on' and accurate time well within manufacturer's specifications and the alarm sounds crisp and clean as well. We warranty this watch for 12-months from date of purchase.
This watch comes on an original JLC brown alligator strap in lightly and carefully worn condition with only slighest visible signs of careful and occassional wear. (Seriously, you gotta love the way the chocloate brown strap accentuates the gorgeous BLUE Dial.) Fitted to the strap is an original JLC 18k white gold (stamped '750' on buckle) folding deployant buckle. This buckle is original to the watch. We have confirmed it was common practice for JLC to outfit their oversized platinum watches from the factory with 18k white gold folding buckles to minimize weight and make the watch more wearable.
