Dial-Side Striking Ballet: Unlike traditional minute repeaters that hide their mechanics, the Blast Hourstriker puts the striking rack, hammers, and inertia regulator directly on the openworked dial side between 10 and 2 o'clock.

Created to break the sound barrier Inspired by watchmaking’s past and the possibility of moving musical timekeeping into the future, Blast Hourstriker wants you to hear time again, not read it. When the striker is on, the mechanical ballet that makes the watch’s sound is visible on the hour and half hour, but even its occasional activation is just as beautiful. The mechanism, driven by a specially dedicated barrel, is triggered, the hour rack and the inertia regulator start to turn; the hammers hit the gong whose shape has been subtly worked to bypass the cage of the flying tourbillon.

• Chime-on-Passage Function: When activated, the watch automatically strikes on the hour and half-hour, though it can also be manually triggered on-demand via the 10 o'clock pusher. [1, 2, 3, 4]

• Devialet Resonance System: The watch uses a solid caseback with structural "X" cutouts over a microscopic, 3/100mm thin titanium membrane. This membrane vibrates to drastically amplify the acoustic volume of the chime while maintaining basic water resistance. [1, 2]

• Silicium Technology: True to Ulysse Nardin's heritage, the regulating flying tourbillon utilizes a state-of-the-art silicon hairspring, anchor, and escape wheel to combat magnetic interference
